Canon 50mm 1.4 or Sigma 50mm 1.4?

Discuss.

I have been really happy with the Sigma. I read a lot of positive reviews before I bought it. But, I have not shot with the Canon -- so I can provide no direct comparison.

Some of the reviews talked about focusing issues with the sigma, have you experienced that?

i have never used the sigma, but the canon 50/1.4 was superb. crazy sharp on the 5D2. i only sold it because i went with a 28-85-135mm combo at the time and the 50 was the odd man out. there are times where i miss it horribly especially indoors where the 85 is just too tight and i have no room.

all shot with the 50 and 5d2.

So I'm told but that new 50mm is also $900 verses $400 for the other

Thanks for the input all, went with the Canon. $50 less on B&H.
