I only have one of my own photographs on the wall. And it feels out of place, and a bit pretentious. I know some of you deck the walls with your own imagery and it looks great. I'm looking for ideas... |

I have most of my hanging art in my office. All of mine here at home are kids. |

Fun! Just ordered my second professional print in those metal pieces. Very expensive but so worth it.
When it comes in, I will post it :))
Love the idea I can take whatever and decorate how we wish like that

this is my kitchen
this is in the entrance to the athletics office at randolph-macon college (story here)
i've always been a big proponent of making prints, books, calendars, and what-not so that you can enjoy your works without having to have a device or monitor...

I had a several pictures chosen for exhibition in various venues and formats at the 2011 Marin County Fair. I have a couple of pictures on display at medical offices, but no photos of them (yet).
Faded photo as background for haiku:
These were part of a continuously-looping slideshow in the photo exhibit hall (not too impressed with the auto re-scaling though):

It came in!!!
My first ever canvas print and professional framed print. Waiting for this was not fun but so worth it!
Having to wait for the print then having to wait for the framing LOL
This was made on 24x36 and since then I entered it in 4 other contests all coming in within the top 20, it is amazingly more beautiful printed out!
Thank you all for the help in the editing of this photo could not have done it without you! A huge hug!

This isn't the best depiction, but I was being lazy and didn't want to take a pic in the middle of the night. I recently got a new house, so things aren't ALL hung up yet, but this is what I have so far. Also note that this shot was taken for a bike enthusiast group after I had built it up (just added a new bike to my stable... and no, it doesn't normally live there) ETA: Not sure why the border on the far left looks so weird, but I have equal black borders, top and bottom on it. For reference, the front door is immediately out of frame to the right and this is the back wall of the living room.

Your photographs (at least from looking at your top 10) require a certain decor, which may or may not match your desired living space. I like Diamonds, Building, and Fourth Avenue Abstractions. I'd envision them as large single-print displays on a good sized wall. Kind-of like what P-A-U-L posted, but not. |

The black frame is wrapped around the canvas, and because of the angle of the picture you posted, you see it on two sides, but not the other two, making it look unbalanced. You're getting a bit of the same effect on the left side of the picture on the right. |

Thanks for taking a look, though I wouldn't put any of those on my walls at home. It's bad enough they're destined to be on my front page forever, since I don't play for points anymore. You do bring up a good point, though, that most of my stuff isn't what family or visitors would want to see hanging in the living room. ("Honey, let's hang this over the fireplace."). Some of my black and white darkroom work is what I'm thinking about. Keep the examples coming... |

From your challenge entries portfolio, I think Poinsettia and Happy At The Beach would make great wall art. |
