I recently moved from Ottawa (where I could go to the store to buy stuff) to the BC interior (where the biggest town with what I would call "shopping" is Kelowna, at least 3 hours away - at least I'm told they have "shopping" in Kelowna). Frustrations galore! Soooo ... I'm thinking mail order.

1) What are the best photo stuff mail order stores in Canada?
2) Can I order from the US? Would I have to pay import duties?

PS - But I sure like it here in the interior!!!!

B & H in NYC is very fast and reliable, I ordered stuff from them on 2 occasions and it took 2 days between the time I ordered and the time the merchandise was at my door.

There are no duties on Cameras and Lenses, but you will be charged GST and PST and sometimes "Brokerage fee" if it's from FeDex or UPS; a real rip-off in my opinion since you are already paying for it to be shipped.

PS: I hear Leo's in Vancouver ships stuff //www.leoscamera.com/ but you have to know what you want they do not have a web store.

Henry's has stores all over Ontario and has a super mail order department and they also sell on ebay.

I have bought from them and highly recommend.
