Why would you go sepia when you are trying to express springtime? Without any flowers or a colt or anything else associated with springtime, the brown grass in sepia says fall/autumn to me.

Besides that, I like it! |

I like it. The only thing I think I would change is add a little contrast but that is just a personal prefrence. I've always been a big fan of a little extra contrast.

Very good shot though. Two thumbs up... |

I think I would add a little bit of contrast for a little more pop as well. Then again if this was in a dark frame it might just accomplish that same effect. |

		| I don't think it's too yellow. I might darken it down to show off the ominous, "stormy" feel of the sky. Also, I think the line of the fence fights a little with the line of the mountains. But overall, this is a great shot. I'd give it an 8 in a free-study challenge. Nice work! |

I'd rather see the leaning relic of rune stone than a wire fence, but no matter how often I visit the portfolios of Icelandic DPCers, there are none!

I demand more uniquely Icelandic photos of Icelanders!
If none are produced within the following week, I'll ship there and take them myself! ;-)

Slighly more contrast would be nice. I'm in the higher contrast crowd. |

		| I think it is very nice. However, the title does not fit the composition. Some of the posts already addressed this but I am not sure they hit it quite right. Your piece emits a more sorrowful and negative attitude. You use an image of barbed wire and empty fields and what looks like dry grass. These types of things might symbolize death or a harsh environment. You may want to try a title that relates to these things, or fall or winter maybe. Maybe something like, "after the spring." Just a thought. Like the others, I think a little more contrast may be nice as well. Beautiful work. |
