Ohhh-kaaaaayyyy..... snaffy has really gone off the deep end this time!!!
Actually, no. I haven't.
But Motley Crue cofounder/songwriter/bassist Nikki Sixx, infamous for his vast consumption of alcohol, coke and heroin - esp heroin - over the course of several years, DID go off the deep end. He reputedly was clinically dead not once, but twice, from overdoses.
But in the throes of recovering from his addictions, Nikki discovered photography. His work is dark and grungy, would have fit in nicely with a Grunge challenge from awhile back.
So. Though never a MC fan, not only do I find it incredible that he is still alive, but that his photographic work is very compelling and doesn't play nice.

So he doesn't even participate at DPC and he's already got two posthumous awards? |

Nikki Sixx
He's all over the place, but you can start there...
One would probably need a month to search for his environment.

True, but that makes it all the more interesting as he hasn't yet developed a solid style. Seems to take a good ten years or so to develop a really definitive photo style, and I think he took it up about 2005. |

if he hasn't developed a style, how would a "in the style of" challenge work? |

Are we trying to mimic one of the 16 images in his portfolio or look for a junkie to shoot?

Uhm I'm pretty sure there is more than 16 pix in his port...at least on the sites I saw.
Yea gads, people, this is just a Challenge Suggestion thread...
OK let's give Nikki's style a few more years to develop and mature, then try again then. I just thought he'd be an interesting and different counterpoint to the other photogs I suggested. Esp as it seems a lot of people here use Nik FX a lot, and I would think he does too to create his grunge effects.
