I find Larry Towell's work very inspirational. Thought I'd post this forum for those who have not heard of him or seen his work.

He's a wonderful photographer. Back in the day, his work helped shape my realization of what a WA lens could do in a "social" (as opposed to landscape) situation.

Interesting stuff.

I use my WA about 80% of the time. Regardless of what I'm shooting :)

I think that's how we evolve in candid photography. We start from a distance, using a lens with reach, and then find ourselves getting closer to our subjects. A fast wide angle prime becomes the lens of choice. This invites more possibilities, POV and DOF for instance. We all see and approach photography differently but this has been my experience.

Yes, an impressive photographer, loved looking through that. It saddens me to think his stuff would score poorly here.
