| Just to respond to the folks who are suggesting the face is a barrel, or patterns on the stones--I'm one of those people that has a really hard time with Magic Eye photos, and other types of optical illusions. It takes me forever to figure out the thing that is Jesus' face and then something else and I have NEVER been able to see anything in a Magic Eye photo (hee-hee, like the guy in Mall Rats who couldn't see the boat). I'm not at all a suggestable person (I think it is an ADHD brain thing). I am also highly sceptical (to an annoying degree, some would say). I saw the face right away as soon as I did the shadow dodging. I hadn't looked at any of the previous shots that people offered up so it wasn't suggestion either. Whether Konodor is pulling are leg or not, this is definitely a face. |

I think maybe its the tree, but maybe there is a ghost I can see a face too!! This all too funny!

Neither have I!!! I really want to see one though, and over the years, I have looked when at the bookstore or something, and still no. I thought for sure with time and age, but no. I can't see those things! My friend thinks we can't see those because we are jewish! Haha... We were in a Christian book store with his girlfriend about 8 years ago just staring at it... supposed to be sheep/lion pic, but we couldn't see it for the life of us!!!

I saw a clip yesteday from the new Shrek movie. The ghost looks A LOT like the main woman in Shrek! I'm not a Shrekkie so I don't know who she is (Shrek's mother, girlfriend, wife etc...) but the face is very similar.
Maybe Konador has been laughing the whole time wondering why we didn't figure it out sooner! :) |

I think you should sell the shot to the National Enquirer... I'd love to be standing in the grocery store line some day looking at the goofy stuff they put on their magazines and see this picture! (Not that I think IT'S goofy, it's really freaky.) I think you should send it to them and see if they offer you $$ for it!

1-From the angle of the windows on the building you can see the daylight and nightime images were not taken from exactly the same spot. The night shot ones are straiter and the roof is slightly "shorter". This implies the night image was taken further to the right from the daytime image.

3-Follow the roofline to the tree and you arrive near where the knot in the tree should be, but instead where the "ghost" face appears. The knot and the face are similar. The lines of the body follow a striking similarity to the contours of the tree.
4-This implies the "ghost" and the tree are one in the same.
Although this is a less exciting possiblity it does eliminate the fantastic presumption that a ghost was present at exactly the same instant that the laws of light physics were temporarily suspended.
Note: Anyone ever notice the similarity between Ben and Harry Potter?

You're right about the position, and in the dark one the tree is slightly more towards the left, but you can actually see it in the photo. I've drawn in the left edge of the tree:
