Looking at this lighting mostly for video work but think it could also work for studio.
The following is a review which also advises 'Flora Light Distance Chart' (about half way down)
(Note: I use M43 gear so I naturally get more DOF)
Easy setup and breakdown with the umbrella styled hexabox.
Review
Would like others thoughts and input on this product for both video and stills.
Anyone currently using them?
There are reviews on YouTube if you also interested.
Thanks everyone.

I don't know anything about continuous lighting, but I'm not sure about the fluorescent bulb. They tend to burn greenish. I know there are a lot of options with LEDs, which have adjustable lighting. |

These are 5500K to match daylight.
There are six 85watt globes available for each light. Two switches each turn on or off three lights.
If you want to alter from there you need to remove globes or set them up in a combination that works for you (e.g. three & one, three & two, etc for each on off switch)
They do not get hot. CFL's cannot have a dimmer which would have been nice or three switches controlling two lights each would have been better.
Have looked at LED's but they are way more expensive for the top ones. Yongnou ones look good YN160, YN300, YN600 but all battery operated and not sure about that for the job I am needing them for.
Can always gel the CFL's to a warmer light as can be done with any lighting.

I dont know. That sounds really labor intensive. And If you have to take one or more out, you'll have to worry about not breaking them.
Having previously bought cheap equipment, I really encourage you to consider something more than just price. But as I sqid, I dont know the first thing about this system |

Oh, these are not the cheap ebay ones.
They are more high mid range.
Not interested in the cheap ones which are hard to put together and not well made.
Lots of good reviews here: reviews of linco flora on youtube |
