Good to hear you had a good time and most likely got hooked. Does the rental company rent out the 500mm f/4 as well? Most of the guys I know who shoot wildlife use that one.


Yes they do indeed rent that one out.

Canon EF 500mm f/4 L IS II USM: £243.00 for 3 days

For that amount I could buy a 50mm 1:4 but I sure would have loved the extra reach on the day. Anyway it is back to the sheep and cows for me
