Hi! I recently joined DPC and am already completely addicted. Just ask my wife...um... well, I'm sure her name will come to me.
Anyway, I just entered my first challenge and have voted in the past 4 or 5 challenges as well. I was just curious -- is there a rule that there must be at least one picture of someone's toilet in each challenge? Do members take turns posting pictures of toilets and urinals? If so, could someone please let me know when my turn is coming up so that I can start figuring out how to prevent porcelain overexposure? :-)
All kidding aside, I absolutely love this site and am so glad I became a member. I've learned more about photography in the past month than I have in the previous 35 years. Thanks to everyone who runs this site, and to those who take the time to make comments and to post tutorials. But most of all, thanks to those two people who added photos of mine to their favorites list!

Welcome..I was looking through your portfolio and i really likes this
Well, I don't have any toilet shots to date, but that doesnt mean there is one in the future! There are many trends on the site if you look through the challenge histories, and you know you have a good shot when you shoot something cliche that really stands out.

Thanks, Lee! That cactus photo of yours has to be my favorite in your portfolio. It's really striking and dramatic. I'm still too simple-minded to think in anything except color, but I'll try venturing into black and white soon.
