I was playing with Photoshop's shadows and highlights feature on some of my older dark photos to see how well it works, when this one really creeped me out:

You probably can't see anything on this uncropped shot, but if you zoom in over to here:

Nothing there when it's dark like this, but take the shot into photoshop, do shadows/highlights, or some strong curves manipulation, and theres a definate female figure in the middle!

About the photo:
I'd only just got my new 300D and it was snowing for the first time in years, so I went outside to get some shots, but gave up after I realised the flash made the snow look rubbish. It only snowed at night, not during the day :( Oh well, only another 7 months till winter :P

Sorry. Just looks like one of your neighbors (or a neighbor's visitor) came out to see the snow; just like you were doing. Probably did not notice her while playing with you new toy.

Not that I do not believe in ghosts; I just believe in simple explainations more. ;D

Freaky!

let me think.... male, 17, dark winter night, cold outside..... it is probably a projection of what was in your mind at the time onto the image sensor....LOL

But seriously, I see her as well.

Would be interesting to see if she is still there. If you take the shot again tonight, can you then see her again ? Can you find an explanation when you examine the area ?

I can see it, too. Looks like one of those angel statues. A visitation?

Come on all of you. It´s a ghost and nothing else!!!!!

You think that picture is bad, check out this one I just took in my house. Can anyone else see that girl?

But seriously, you might want to keep your picture under wraps unless you want thousands of people from South America camping out in your yard waiting to catch a glimpse of the "snow virgin." :-)

Sorry I don't see anything on the picture, maybe my mind is not enough open.

I just see some whites things, but I can not tell what it is...

I took a look at the image and it's WAY creepy. Good thing I saw this in the daytime. :D

OK, now that's really creepy. If this is real (i.e. not pulling our chains) then it's something worthy of unexplained mysteries. There;s no doubt of the facial structure. That's someone...

creepy.

Very creepy. Any chance she was looking around to see who the hell was taking pictures (with flash) in the snow? j/k

These are a couple of shots I just took - There is nothing there which it could be.

I would have maybe said it was a pattern on the bark of the tree but the tree is way too far over.
