A silhouette flower
Usually we take photos of flowers with very high color contrasts to show all the details and different colors in a flower - this one is quite the opposite, we just see the shape of the flower rather the colors.

It's an intresting photograph, but I don't think it would stand out among the other entries which might've hurt this photo. I think the main reason why people love flower shots so much is because of the various colors they produce, but having the flower as a silhouette is a pretty good concept.
