Should I have chosen differently? Here are some of the other shots that I ended up with (the first shot is the one I entered for the challenge):

I asked quite a few people to tell me which was their favorite. The orange pepper with white base came in a close second to the one I entered. |

I like your original:
Red is usually a troublemaking color. Some cameras just don't capture it very well. That's why I ususally take pictures of blue things or make them b&w.

| Hmm. That's interesting... is there any particular reason why red is so difficult? Also, the backlighting is my monitor screen.. so it projected some blue onto the red (which was simply tissue paper). |
