Bear with me as I speak of beer,
a beverage not with me here
or, tell the truth, not one that I
am often motivated by:
I find its rank and hoppy essence
mostly a crude, intrusive presence,
and rather quite prefer good wine,
which means, of course, the victory's MINE!

A guest, aghast, assumed the worst
and left the party in a huff.
Art quaffed a beer (it wasn't his first)
and started acting testo-tough.
Meanwhile, out across the lawn,
in the deep shadow of the trees,
something else was going on...
It wasn't what you think! Oh, please!
No, the legions of the Bear
were reeling the shadows in,
teasing phantoms from the air
and charging towards their final WIN!
