GIF removed for size reasons. If you want to make your own GIFs from Youtube for use elsewhere

Thumbnail works nicely in my old ancient browser ... what's the frame rate and number of frames?

I have NO idea. YouTube has this new thing where you can make up to a 10-second GIF from any video; this is supposedly 10 seconds. That's all I know :-) Oh, the boat's in SF Bay :-)

Interesting -- can you try making one of this (my only YouTube participation ...)?

I'm curious since this auto-plays when I open this thread, does that cause any issues with file size for those that have to pay per KB. We limit photo size in posts because of that. Will this cause an issue?

Please do not post large images directly to the forums. When posting images to the forums, be aware that some readers access the site via dial-up, and that in some countries, Internet access is charged per KB downloaded. With this in mind, images larger than about 30K, or more than 500 pixels in either dimension, should be posted as links or thumbnails.

It says it's 895.28 KB

That's cool, Robert. Can you throw up a link to the YouTube GIF maker you used?

You just go the address bar in Youtube and insert "gif" (no quotes) in front of "youtube" in the url, and it loads a gif-making page where you see a small version of the video and pause it where you want your gif to start, then select how long to run it for.

Thanks, Robert

I am removing the GIF and locking the thread, as it appears the GIF is actually over the minimum size for posting, and it autoplays.
