Skyscape - A Member Challenge using the Advanced Editing rules.

Sound interesting???

With no further description it will be interesting to see how the cloud photos fare against the occasional aurora or Milky Way photo ... and at this time of year conditions may (for a change) favor our Southern Hemisphere members ... :-)

Why? Are you thinking of aurora?

No, I'm thinking in the North we have Spring-going-on-Summer, which (in many places) brings good weather and clear (boring) skies, while in the South it is Fall-going-on-Winter, and there should be more chance of interesting skies to photograph at that time of year.

Yep, but we have a perfect sky for the Milky Way :)

We did a Sky challenge back in 2006 - not sure whether it's been done since. It's probably time! Ba-dump bump bump.

I'd rather have a Skyescape, but most probably I'm the only one ;-)

Can someone describe what 'skyscape' means? Thanks.

A landscape is an image of some nice scenery on land, seascape is an image of the sea and skyscape is an image of... the sky.

Not to confuse with skyescape, that's an image of the beautiful Island of Skye in Scotland ;-)

Oh, I loved the Isle of Skye. I ran over the big bridge when I was there, I got to see jellyfish on the beach. And sheep - lots of lots of free roaming sheep.

(And regarding skyscape - huh - I'll have to point my camera up and see what that might look like in the tiny little community where I live. Doesn't seem like my skyscape views are very interesting, but I'm probably just not being creative enough.)

I've been through Iowa, and I can tell you, I did indeed see a sky.

Mind you, that was 32 years ago, so things may have changed in that time.
