I've expanded your title for you, OK? It will give people a better idea what to expect. Is there a particular date that's significant for Kiwis that we might want to schedule around?

That's Middle Earth, dude... Try sheep; they have LOTS of sheep... And sailboats... And green fields and craggy mountains... That's pretty much the extent of my knowledge of New Zealand.

Hince my question, since most people only know of New Zealand what they saw in LOTR and Hobbit...

And what does it say that Google Chrome doesn't recognize "Zealand" as a word?

The spellchecker underlines it as not a word...

...I would hate to break the news to you...but there exist a myriad of words that "Spellchecker" has seemingly never heard of.

I am visiting both the North and South Islands and have the great advantage of visiting with Beetle who is a trip organizer extraordinaire. You would not believe just how organized she is.

We also have the added advantage of having friends who live on the North Island in Whangaparaoa and I am really looking forward to seeing them again.

I agree... pat pat pat ..... he actually did spell it right! Might have to quiz him on his pronunciation next time :-)

Nick... I might start a thread some time outlining our itinerary to see if anyone along the way feels like a little meet-up and playing tour guide for a bit.
