I am not much of a techie, but I just wanted a little more than what my D600 can give me in some areas.

I also want to pay around with this processor and see how little I really have to do to get what I want out of it.

I've been using what I call my "Semi-automatic" default settings for a couple years now, and honestly, it seems silly not to let the processor do a lot of the work I want from a camera. Damn things are expensive, and the big boys have spent a lot of time and money making these things work really well with a minimum of fiddling.

I like to be able to just reach out and grab my camera wherever I am, turn it on, and shoot. That means I have to have a pretty versatile default setting as I drag the thing with me everywhere I go.

Yeah.......I can set my camera for full manual, but it seems to be a waste of all that technology.

Anywho........y'all know I no great shakes as a photog, so we'll see how this works out for me over time.

I have at least one D600 body for sale now.......might sell the other one too.

Thanks, tanguera, now I can admit to a little envy too.
Of course you use the automatic settings, Jeb - or at least have them as walk around default. I just had an opportunity to walk around Bergen for an hour or so and look at some of the boys lining up for the tall ships race. The only angle I had was straight into the sun. Manual settings, duh.
(NB this was point and shoot.)
