Can I clone out a small item in an image under advanced editing? I have a corner of book showing that was suppose to be hidden by a tablecloth. It's very incidental but bugs the crap out of me. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can :-)) My understanding as long as it wasn't a part of the main composition it can be done, I had to do that with mine as well.. (clone my hand out and a corner piece as well) LOL

That sounds doable. It doesn't sound like a "major element", or that it would change the typical viewer's perception of the photo.

under cloning for advanced it says you may:
clone out incidental power lines, twigs, dust specks, stray hairs, and similar minor imperfections within any capture used.

i'd call the edge of a book a "similar minor imperfection" since the majority was under a tablecloth.

you should send an inquiry to the SC with the original and cloned version and see what they say. better to be safe than sorry.

Or just send us the original and say "May I clone at that book down there in the lower right corner?"

alternately, if it's not going to spoil the picture due to proximity to the edge, and you are unsure about the dq, crop it out instead.
