Tokina Super Wide Angle AF 17mm f/3.5
Does any body own this lens?

A lot of Petteri's sample shots in his articles were taken using this lens, e.g. his article on Mastering Wide Angle.

| I don't own it but the closest thing I have is the Sigma 12-24mm lens. It is wider, not as fast but still a great lens. |

Petteri's site is great, it's been in my favs for quite a while. Interesting articles, including his posts at dpreview.com.

Canon 18-55 corner ,out of camera crop..
Piece of junk !
Center crop...

Pitsaman, what lense were these taken with? I am interested in using it for architecture and interiors. It is just hard to justifiy the expense.

That is a Canon kit lens 18-55 mm ,very soft center and blurry corners at 18 mm,no wonder is less than 100 $ ! |

| I don't like wide zoom lenses,fixed are sharper,I'm considering Tokina 17 mm or Sigma 20 mm F1.8 ! |

So has anyone used one of these yet? Pitsaman, did you get it in the end. It certainly seems like a good buy for the £££ but I don't like the fact that people don't seem to own anything by Tokina.
