Ditto... was, like you, at one point sad to see a 7... now I'm very happy to see one.
Just got a 2 (or 1 perhaps)... from someone who doesn't understand the concepts of LIQUID and MOTION.

I got 7 average yesterday with 10 votes, happy! I ve just review my votes and score higher to the pictures i think deserves it. If they are haters voting around i ll keep my objetive perspective.

people should be *somewhat* happier. i just voted and gave an average vote of 8.2

Thrilled? Not really. Not for where it was and what IMO it deserves based on other photos in the site's history. But oh well...

This is why I've been more focused on percentile ranking than score.
Ordering your challenge history by descending % rank gives me a whole different perspective on images that I thought were good, but scored low. Take for instance this shot :
It scored below a 6, but was in the top 9% for that challenge and placed higher than about 18 shots with higher scores. |
