The bag wasn't that expensive and neither was the tripod. The bag was on sale for $59 or so and the tripod/head was $204. They had a REALLY nice carbon fiber tripod for $400 without head! It was so light and I really wanted it but couldn't justify the cost. My other Manfrotto tripod for my 717 (model 718SH, I believe) was $198 so I don't think my new tripod was too expesnsive.
I'm considering a macro lens and MAYBE even the ring flash. I could really use that setup here at work for product photos. |

| I want to get the Canon 550ex flash, some macro lens, some wide angle lens, some light disks, an IS telephoto lens, some strobe lighting, some umbrellas, a house with a room for a studio... oops, I've gone way off the handle. I really just crave more equipment. It's so much fun! Congrats on your recent purchases, sounds like you got some great deals! |
