Prohibit a horizontal orientation? I would have said some voters might feel that a landscape must have a horizontal rather than a vertical orientation. I don't feel that's true at all - but I would like some sense of expanse to the scene. Have neither viewed the entries nor voted yet, so I'm just talking generally here. |

My point was that a picture of a ballerina or bowl of fruit in horizontal orientation could arguably be considered "landscape photos." |

Got it :) And any subject in a vertical presentation could qualify in a portrait challenge. Don't think I'll be testing this theory out, though :) |

This is not the proper time for a discussion, but there is much misunderstanding about natural landscapes vs. cultural landscapes. |
