Spelt is also known as dinkel wheat or hulled wheat Triticum aestivum subsp. spelta. It's been cultivated since about 5000 BC.
Using spelt as the past tense for spell is uncommon in the US, but common in the UK...
In a similar vein, smelt is a past tense for smell, more common in the UK. Here in the US, smelt is more commonly recognized as a fish or as it relates to the chemical process of smelting...

Be sure and photograph the light that is emitted as the fake trophy explodes - then you'll be a shoe in for the incandescence challenge. But it won't get you any winning here. |
