I haven't been very active lately but I took a quick trip down to the Oregon Coast yesterday and am feverishly going through and editing the photos I like. Here's two versions of one that I'm pleased with. I'd love any comments or critiques.

| I would have climbed over the fence and angled so I could see a bit of shoreline in the BG, but you may have scared them off. Needs more contrast. I love the Oregon coast, hope to see more from you. |

I think I prefer the color version ... I'd maybe take off a little of the top sky to put the horizon nearer the top 1/3 line, get closer to a 3:2 ratio, and focus more attention on the birds.
I'd also call attention to the empty post using the title, as the "missing" bird is a prominent feature ... maybe "Odd Bird Out" or "Missing Inaction" (pun intentional, sorry) or something like that.
I was up that way last Summer ... you get some beautiful bright but soft light, and lots of hungry gulls willing to pose for food ...
