Hi,
I just got myself a Canon 300D and was wondering if anybody can suggest a good wide angle and fisheye lens for a decent price.
Thanks |

define decent price.
I bought the Sigma 15-30mm. Very versatile and has a reasonable price tag at $580.
Your 300D came with a 18mm equivalent which is already very wide.

I just recently got the 16-35L and love it, though I'm still suffering from sticker shock.
If I would have had the choice I would have been interested in trying out the Sigma 12-24, but I guess I can't complain. |

A couple of other suggestions -
Canon 17-40 f/4 L
Tamron 17-35 f/2.8-4 Di
Sigma 18-50 f/3.5-5.6 DC (very cheap but no significant improvement over your kit lens)

I assume you bought the kit lens with your cam? In that case, a 16mm or 17mmm lens does not give that much addtional FoV. Consider a 15mm fisheye (Sigma makes one). Alternatively, there's the Sigma 12-24mm rectilinear zoom.
For the ultimate in UWA, there is the Peleng 8mm fisheye, which interestingly can be had for <$200 USD, but needs an M42 to EOS adapter, and is fully manual. the controls are also kinda "funky", but it produces very nice images for what it is.

I really like my Sigma 12-24
These were all taken @ 12mm
There really is nothing like it for wide shots.

I believe it was about $650 US, but I got it when it was pretty new.
