Finally, after four years of hard work and commitment, my novel is finally published! It just came out in hardcover/paperback and will be available on Amazon, and BarnesandNoble within four to six weeks. Right now it is available to the public through my publisher, whose shipping costs less than Amazon's. But anyways WOW what a ride. If anyone has written a book in their free time, then you know what a hassle it can be. I actually began writing this book with my friend in the fourth grade. Once we were into the fifth grade and it started becoming, 60 then 70 then 80 pages, we thought we might actually be able to publish it. We set a goal for ourselves that it would be out by the end of eighth grade. Being in eighth grade now and the book being 178 pages, we just beat our goal and I am just incredibly overwhelmed with relief and joy. The story is a children's book written in the style and through the inspiration of the famour author Brian Jacques.
Please have a look at the book.
The Tales of Tranquility
Buy one for you children or for your library or for yourself. (You know the royalties will go towards a dSLR!) My last market for the book is that if there are any English teachers out there, this would be great for your classroom to show the advancing techniques in writing that have been taught to me from fourth to seventh grade. As the book goes on, the writing becomes more and more sophisticated which is a psychology study in itself.
I thought that I'd share my expression of self in writing so that all may enjoy. So, enjoy! Let me know of what you think.
Thanks,
Lee

| That is a very cool thing to do at any age, but a published author at 14 is amazing! I've been writing a novel for the last 17 years and still no where finished let alone published. Good luck with the book selling, and on any future book plans |

Hey ya'll...i just thought that I'd update you after the first quarter of a year of sales.
Well, I am doing great well-exceeding my expectations for sales as we have sold over $1500 worth of books. I find it slightly ironic also how I was inspired by Brian Jacques to write and now i see many of my peers and friends inspired to go out and write their own books as more and more of them see how much doing that payed off.
Thanks to everyone who has purchased a copy! You'll be glad to know that the profits are going towards my ever-expanding arsenal of photography!
Thanks you all for you support!
Lee

That's a wonderful achievement, Lee - well done!
Wondering if any film-makers would be able to use your book in the near future, aswell. |

Hi there Tranquil! Just wanted to tell you that we (my wife & I) think it's absolutely amazing that you have a book published. We will definitely be picking up a copy as we are both avid readers. What an accomplishment for someone so young! All your friends & family must be very proud.
And your photos aren't that bad either! ;-) |
