Drat -- drive by shooting could have really benefited by advanced. :( |

That's why it's minimal!
I actually was doing some drive-by stuff last weekend up in Amish country in southern Pennsylvania. But I was driving. |

I have got some ideas after seeing this, I wanted to give it a shot in minimal to see how they would come because I agree advance would be really helpful but minimal would be a challenge :) |

Its ok to be driving and taking pictures if your riding in a buggy. |

Why do you say that? The whole nature of the challenge is spontaneity, and the "challenge" of the challenge is to get it right. It will reward thoughtful preparation of gear, and not incidentally will favor those who shoot with phones and small cameras. Embrace it! Have fun! |

Depends on how talented you are. For me, it's not that easy to do everything before pressing the shutter button. |

I'm just referring to MY method. Trust me - it is MINIMAL effort. :) |

Wait... like that time when you said you entered a very last minute entry and got a Blue ribbon for it? :P |

Rats! I just got some good shots from the car coming home from the Kings game on Saturday. Didn't realize there was a minimal rules challenge going, so I shot in RAW as is my wont. We just had a minimal rules challenge which had a whopping 50 entries. IMNSHO minimal editing is a good way to discourage participation in the challenges. (Vent over!) |

I take pictures all the time from the car, but not lately to make it valid for the contest LOL
My favorite kind of "shooting"
Its why I love photography when I get mad at people.. I can shoot them and cut their heads off and its legal! LOLOL

There's some interesting "drive by shooting" photos on flikr, but i doubt most of them were minimal editing! Aaargh! |

I must really be a loser, I love minimal editing. (Probably because I have no patience to learn solid Photoshop skills.) Although upon further reflection I am still learning basic camera skills, so even in minimal I have little success. But I do find it fun to come home and see which of my 50 shots I like best and then simply upload.
Julie, I never thought about using my camera to take revenge on those I despise. I like the idea! |
