Well, I'm assuming it's an Indian Casino in New Mexico, and that the nearby castle is on the grounds of the Armand Hammer World University, ino building yet :-) which of course is hard by Las Vegas, NM, but danged if I can find the actual casino building yet... |

Oh, man!
You're not there yet, but you're headed down a good path, even if it's not going directly where you want to head.

Pfft. Come on folks! This shouldn't be terribly hard. :D I'm actually surprised no-one has gotten it yet - heck, I've been trying to spell it out for ya - but if you need more hints just ask! |

I want someone to get this, so here's the next hint: This place has more in common with Costello than Cochise. |

Shoulda' put a smiley on the last post of mine I guess. But knowing it's a casino with a castle somewhere nearby isn't helping me unless we're headed to the *real* Las Vegas and the castle is "Scotty's Castle" but that's not very nearby, except by western standards, which of course used to be my standards before I demobbed to the right coast... |

I'm guessing it's in Southern California and the castle is at Disneyland. |

A bit too over-thought, but think you're headed down the right path Bear, and bohemka's comment will bear out to be pretty funny in the end too.

The only path I'm on right now is the one to my bedroom door, and the last time I was in Vegas the Luxor was the newest thing in town :-) |

Not much I can say about this other than the fact that this small detail shouldn't impede your ability to recognize this building.

Las Vegas - by the airport. And I think one of the Tropicana buildings.

Read the first letter of each of my last 9 posts.. :)
Indeed it is the Tropicana tower, right on the strip, and across from the Excaliber (which looks like a disneyland castle)...
You're up. |

Cavallo point, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
ETA: Guessing you were standing in the viewing area at the north end of the bridge. That is battery Cavallo in the picture, one of the old fortifications that ring the entrance to SF Bay to protect it way back when.

Yes, sir. Figured someone would recognize it before I had to start doling out hints. You are up! |
