You're right Paul. Just stayed nearby a few weeks back. A truly awesome church. And you're up.

Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset. Had to google this. When I first saw the image it reminded me of the rotonda mare in Senigalia (Italy), so was surprised to find this in England. ETA: The Grand Pier, to be exact.

You are too far south, and that's too crowded.

ding ding ding ... and we have a winner. The clue was in the photograph - this is one of the few remaining Mayan pyramids that they will actually let you climb anymore.

Looks like it could be fun to make the mad dash up there!

I don't have a chance to post anything until tomorrow. Anyone is welcome to post.

Yes, the dash up is a blast. The dash down is a bit more daunting - particularly working your way around the people who freeze up halfway down! That is one steep pyramid. Coba has an extensive set of ruins spread throughout the jungle, including a cool jai alai court (just don't lose your head). And the best part is it is much less crowded than Tulum or Chichen Itza.

Ok, since Are has opened it up, I have a good one. (I think?)

Name this place.

Too Funny!

Nah. :)

This is a building that a TON of DPC'ers have seen, the question is whether or not they noticed it. The architecture is fairly distinct, especially for an otherwise plain white building.

Robt, that's a funny guess too, I can see where you got the idea... You're not right, but there is a rather large and beautiful castle nearby. :) This place has made way more money. Plus it's a couple states further west than the westernmost White Castle.
