		| | This has been going on for a bit, and it's finally MAKEING ME MAD... so got a set of diff layers, click on one (lets say to resize the object a bit) grab and OMG a diff layer moves... look over and sure enough it's grabbed a diff layer... Right now I click on the correct layer and when I go to move it PS defaults to 2 layers above???? WHAT is going on?? The only way I can stop this is to turn off the layer above, then it lets me work on the one I originally clicked on???
Smarter than me folks, HELP... It didn't use to do this, have NO idea whats going on

		| | Makes no sense to me, never experienced it and can't replicate it. |

		| | Choose the "move" tool (mouse pointer with arrows), then deselect "auto choose layer" (or similar). Then go back to what you were doing.

		| | To clarify... by "go back to what you were doing," I meant that you don't have to do this over and over, and that the option affects the move operation even when you're not using the tool directly.

		| | I'll have to remember this. I know I have the same problem. But I'm guessing the auto select is the default so we have to remember to do this on every image we are editing in layers? |

No. In general, Photoshop defaults to its most recent settings on things like this.

		| | When my layers pop off, I go for that hand cursor and slap them around a little. I know it's not right, but it does keep them in line. |
