Beats the shell outta me

shells on diamond plate.

I would guess they're sorting them, it's possible that's a part of a larger machine.

If I'm right, someone else can post, as I'm sitting @ McCarren waiting for my flight.

Right, there ya go :-) And yeah it's seagull debris, not a machine as Cory suggested.

That was VERY lucky.

I just hit the sack. Anyone is welcome to post while I dream of sailing across the ocean. Some day....

Since no one else picked it up, here's another image.

What are we building?

03/05/2014 04:23:41 PM · #6315
A robot? :)
03/05/2014 04:31:55 PM · #6316
No, not a robot. And this thing is not replacing humans when set to work.

This particular type is installed on ships and larger boats. Makes people on board very happy.

Almost that happy :) (and that's seriously not far from the truth)

Without a device like this on a photo cruise in Antarctica - for example - DPC folks would be very upset.

Gyro-Stabilizer
03/06/2014 01:32:04 PM · #6323
Getting hot Spork. It isn't a exactly a gyro stabilizer. But it does have gyroscopes, and accelerometers, in it to sense movement. But what is it used for on a boat - that would make DPC'ers (especially!) miserable if the boat doesn't have one?
