Yes he has his camera. I didn't know he liked porn. I would have planned a whole different weekend.

I have just decided what to do with the pouch. Every place he goes when he is here in Williamstown and the surrounding areas, something, even if it is just a receipt from a 7/11, will go in his pouch. The next person can peruse and do with as they see fit. Hopefully all will remain with him as he travels so at the end it can be included in the originally intended project as photographs or whatever. Just a thought.

Oh and by the way, he has an unusual interest in the wicker basket bunny you can see in the background.

Yes, the pouch was empty. Initially, MAK had an idea to put a USB drive.
Great idea, just don't make him too fat :-).

Here are all the pictures uploaded to the previous SugarSync shared folder. Reminder - purpose of this folder is to gather all Lost photos you have (not only what you have uploaded to DPC), for Marac to use after the journey ends.

As you can see, I moved all photos to box.com, I hope they don't kick us out like the previous host did. We have 50Gb to work with ;).

Now, I don't want to bother everyone with opening a box.com account all over again. This folder is read-only but if you would like to upload your photos here, we can manage it. For example, I can send you an email address to which you email the photos and they will get uploaded in your folder automatically. Or you can always send them to me and I will upload them :-). If you already have a Box.com account, you will receive a share invitation with read-write privileges.

In any case, ex-hosts of Lost, PM me and we will work something out. There is already a nice quantity of photos here, why not continue it.

Top man. Yes hopefully after the journey has ended we will try to market the idea and send the profit made to a charity (children's charity).
The Facebook page is not important however it seems to of upset 1 or 2 of us here about posting there (I totally understand that too) but if those users could let tome have the shots they would like included in the final product it would be wonderful.

More from Boston (I forgot my camera some days, and the battery died on others, so some of these were taken with Lost's camera)...

Upon arrival, I asked Lost what he wanted to get up to. He asked if I knew any birds. We headed over to the Emerald Necklace, a string of parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, a landscape architect also responsible for the design of NYC's Central Park, among others. Between Lost's exotic looks and tales of adventure, he received quite a bit of attention.

Edit: Hit wrong button. Will add more photos to this post. So, here...

Another nice park in the Boston area is Larz Anderson Park, which has a nice pond, some attractive pedestrian bridges and a rotunda. But we didn't get to see any of that, as I couldn't get Lost past the playground.

It wasn't all outdoor adventures, with the weather in the teens on many days. We had a few library days as well.

And then we spent some time out at Boston College.

And then on Valentine's Day we had a special dinner out at Tasty Burger, a burger joint near Fenway Park that has quickly developed a reputation. Gorgonzola Burger with bacon, a 50/50 (fries and onion rings) and a 'Gansett to wash it down. Awesome. Well, "awesome" was our definition. My wife had another definition for taking my traveling penguin friend to dinner at a burger joint for Valentine's Day. We've got a great couch, though, so all's good.

And of course, no trip to Boston would be complete without a stop at Fenway. Not exactly baseball season, but it doesn't hurt to study up on the seating chart so you know what's up when talking ticket prices on the street.

We became so used to all the snow and ice outside that we looked for things to do with ice inside, so we headed to Harvard to catch an Ivy League hockey game. Very high level of play, and wicked smaht players.

More soon...

It would make sense to put shutterpug after me because she is just north of Ohio :)

I should make a new will. It needs to include taking photos of Lost on my gravestone if/when he finally gets here long after I've been and gone.

If I specify camera settings in writing, would that still count as MY photo then?

Well I am very disappointed. I received Lost, took a few photos the first night just checking locations really, then spent the next 5 days flat on my back in bed with the flu - first time I can ever remember getting the flu - ever. And I even got a flu shot. Anyway, it would be selfish to keep him longer so I am sending him on today at noon. Look for Lost in a mailbox near you!

I'd say keep him and take some shots. We've waiting this long, a couple of days more won't make a difference!!

I'm glad you made it home safely from your tour of Williamsburg with Lost. Please feel better very soon.
i do believe Lost has had his own vaccinations so when he comes to his next location,
all should be fine for him. For you? My best wishes and thanks for the stiff upper lip.
:)

CEJ, I'm really sorry to hear you've been so sick. I hope you're far along on the road to recovery. I thought your previous post provided a nice segue for this one:

So Lost has safely made it to Vermont. My kids were so excited to meet him. Liam especially has really bonded with Lost. He also really needed a drink after his journey to our house.

More to come...........

I'm jealous! I enjoyed meeting you last year -- he's going to have a great time!

Ummmm... what are you feeding him for drinks? Nothing alcoholic, I hope. I don't want him to get bad habits since he's coming here shortly....
03/08/2014 12:36:52 PM · #495
Don't want him to 'get' bad habits?

He is not as naive as he looks. His favorite song is the first on the CD included.

Indeed. Get bad habits? They haven't served a single pint of beer at a Harvard hockey game since his antics.
03/08/2014 12:57:59 PM · #497
He came with bad habits already. All I will say is he likes Rum as well as beer.
Wendy it was great meeting all of you, I'm hoping to get up a couple of shots from that.
03/08/2014 02:07:50 PM · #498
I can only confirm his habits. This was last year.
03/08/2014 04:16:35 PM · #499
Yep, I can confirm that he left York nearly a year ago in a somewhat inebriated state :)

blech.... I hate beer!

Well, I'll have to get him some decent drinks then, and expand that palette!
