I'm not in this challenge, and I had to stop voting after a while, and check to see whether this was the 'politics' challenge! |

I don't know how to vote on this challenge, almost every entry seems like a shoehorn to me. |

Of course they are, it's a pretty abstract topic. I was pleasantly surprised by the creative interpretations and quality images. Much more interesting than a literal challenge with no leeway (eg. candy, thumbtacks...etc.). |

My entry is a shoehorn because I thought that it was pretty pathetic that there were only 33 entries two hours before the end of submission. I thought "why not?" There have been a lot of ribbons over the past couple of years that were handed out mainly because there was no competition. With so few entries, I thought that I would roll the dice for a change. |

My first vote I got was also a 1. Someone is sandbagging!!!! Lol
12 votes 2.9 someone must be against what my photo stands for. I could have said my agenda Wendy but that would not be nice to call a whole group out. |

Out of the 40 entry's many good photos that did not have a single political subject matter in them. Many good political titles though. This one is going to be won based on how the voters vote in real life. I do think I gave the highest score to the ones that will win. They stayed more neutral. Chickens!!!! lol

I think one misses much of the fun of politics, if one overlooks the symbolism, metaphors, similes and analogies. |

I agree that with the titles telling you what the photo stands for you get the idea behind what the photographer is trying to say, but take the title away and you get some nice photos of things unrelated to anything political in the past 100 years. I feel and this is just an opinion, that the winner will be the most neutral photograph. Many who picked a particular subject that strikes fire in many hearts politically will score low. To paraphrase Wendy she got a one starting out must have been a republican. To me if she was able to make someone react as to vote a one based on subject matter then she hit the nail on the head. This one will be interesting to see how the votes lean.

Me thinks this may be the most interesting challenge we have had in a long time. I do think I know the photo that will win. We will just have to wait and see. lol |

Only the second time in 378 entries my image is interesting enough to have a request for validation during voting :-)
(I know they do random checks sometime but I'm hoping it's because it's interesting so don't burst my bubble) |

Well, at least I picked the winners....lol I also feel it validated my previous thought. Politics is a touchy subject. I went to an extreme. One many do not agree with. Religion and Guns. I do not think I have ever scored more ones in my whole career here. I went that way with one thing in mind that those are possibly two of the most debated political subjects in History. What do you think? Ideology voting bias? |

....I couldn't help but think of Frank Underwood and his crew when I took my shot......regardless of parties or ideologies...... |
