Gateway.com offers discounts for AAA members and yields some pretty good deals (click on Accessories and scroll down). They have the Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS lens for $1620 and the 75-300 f/4-5.6 IS for $373 (Canon offers additional $50 and $20 rebates, respectively). They also have the Canon BP-512 battery for $22, good prices on high-end Canon EOS models and a number of LowePro camera bags.

What's the diff between the 511 and 512? Isn't it a different physical size? Do you know if it fits in the G2 series?

If you click Buy It on Gateway's link, it says that it's for the G2. It should also fit the G3, G5, Digital Rebel, EOS-10D and some camcorders.

Some camcorders you say?

Hmmm... methinks that I will have to look into whether or not the 'extended' battery as well as the original basic battery that came with my ZR85 will work with my EOS 300D Digital Rebel...

It would be nice if it does since we will only be taking the 300d on our honeymoon and I don't want to spend any extra money that I don't need to spend right now...

A friend of mine has a Canon G3 and a ZR45 camcorder. The batteries are interchangeable.

You are a prince. I've been thinking about ordering a 275 notebook/tablet, and your 10% discount put me over my premium price trepidation. Just ordered one. I hope I don't regret it!

Happy to help. If one person benefits, it's worth the post.

Just as an aside, I am a AAA member (that's a great thing, worth twice the price of membership or more), but nowhere and at no time did they ask me for my AAA number.
