To answer your Mario's question from the B&H thread (didn't want to hijack), I take lots of pictures. I post on other sites, but guess I just haven't been in challenge-mode. I'm hoping that with the nice weather now that I might be able to get out there and find something for a challenge...

Anyway, I took almost 400 shots in NYC. I have about 70 posted on my site. Here's a few of my faves. Suggestions and comments, good or bad, are all welcome.

...and thanks for asking, Mario. :-)

Statue of Liberty
Masts
NYC Skyline
Brooklyn Bridge
Pillars
Doors and Window
NYC Skyline 2
Brooklyn Bridge Panorama

The rest of the NYC pics can be found here.

Edit: Is this better? Not sure what I did wrong with the links...

I used the above button and got this (where the parantheses were brackets)...

It's in your cache. I can see them if I paste the address on the address bar and come back to the thread.

Looking through your smugmug account, I think you would definitely cleanup some of the ribbons around here.

Every one of the b & wshots are incredible. You architectural shots are most impressive.

Thanks, Welland, I really appreciate that.

Jen, I think alot of your stuff is really, really good. I like the NY stuff and find the Maine, and Canada pics to be excellent as well. As Faidoi said, you could clean up a ribbon or two with shots like those. I especially like that you shoot real life stuff, people on the street, etc. That's my preference over studio stuff.

Take a look at my NY photos. We were there for a brief visit in November 2003. I'd love to know what you think. BTW, I think my daughter bought a hair band from your NY Chinatown vendor. And I walked by that fish store. Is that around Mullberry Street? Great little restaurant there.

Anyhow, take care and I await your first challenge entry. Just go for it! I'm sure you won't regret it.

Mario, thank you so much! I'm not crazy about staged photos either. I like looking at other peoples', but I don't like taking them. The only staged shot I've tried was my daffodils.

Thanks for sharing your album. Those are fantastic shots! I like your b&w shots, as well. These are my favorite shots:

View from Above II, IMG 0934 small, IMG 0832 smallBW, IMG 0857 smallBW , IMG 0885 smallBW , IMG 0921 smallBW. I love that last one. It has terrific lines!

That's funny about the vendor. I'm not really sure what street that was on. I was following the rest of the group and got a bit disoriented when I didn't pay attention. lol I can find out for you, though, if you want.

Thanks again, Mario. Have a great night.

Thanks. Sorry about the lack of titles to those photos. I uploaded them and forgot to go back and give them names.
