I'm trying to figure out just what qualifies as a "minimal landscape". I had a great time out east of town on seldom-traveled snow-covered roads, trees, fields, fences, and buildings. In Indiana, there is almost always a stand of trees in every landscape (otherwise we'd get blown away).

So, is a cluster of buildings in the distance minimal? How about a large building in the mid-range combined with snow-covered fields?

Or should I go with just a patch of snow with a discolored spot in the middle (puddle or pond covered over?)
