Average means different things to different people and we most certainly do not share the same taste. I have know people here who most would consider "low ballers" but they seemingly vote the same way regardless of the challenge.
I have managed to solve my problems regarding score expectations... I simply turned them off and wait till the turnover to see what the voting public thought of my image.

REgardless the "average" vote allowed on this site is a 5.5. You're right that some might see perfectly sharp, on topic photos as below average, but whatever. I hold to my original statement.
I know when I submit something not so great or on topic and expect it to get dinged...

I am serious here. I have gone in to finish voting in the Cold challenge and I cannot get my vote to "take" on seven of the entries. They are all on my "top" list - I basically vote a 4, 5, or 6 on the first round unless something just knocks my socks off and goes straight to an 8 or 9 or is imo so bad I give it a 3 (I don't like to lower votes after the first round, just bump them)
I have exited, come back in, tried again, etc. It is only seven images and the same seven. Anyone else have this problem? Ever? Two or three of these would absolutely have been bumped. |

Have you tried a different program? (IE instead of firefox type of thing?) |

Well I was going for the brown, but 7 people have commented on it, and one faved it.
Still the score is avg territory, but I predicted bottom 5. |

No. But I left for awhile to edit Minimalist Landscapes and fix and eat dinner and just tried again. It took this time. Thanks. |
