Does the speed on these cards actually do anything? Is it worth the differnce in price? Or shall I just get the cheapest 1GB I find? Please advice

I use Sandisk Ultra II cards. Lots of people will tell you don't spend the extra money on faster cards becuase they don't make a difference. I think they do make a difference. I have a firewire card reader and when I put my Ultra II card in to download to the computer, it is done in very short order. I also think they write in the camera faster. When you take a burst shot it clears the camera buffer FAST so you can take more pics. I can't quote any numbers or statistics or anything like that but, they work for me and that is all I am worried about. Just my opinion. |

You are quite right. A friend has sent me this link very usefull and proves at least in the dslr's that speed makes a difference

Very useful site. I just ordered a Sandisk Ultra II 1 Gig card based on the results for my camera.
