I still dream of downsizing my kit (my RX100 does that too me...great results, just need the rest of the focal lengths!)

For those who are also trying to "trim the fat", you may find this site useful! It lets you pick cameras and lenses and compare their size and weight. Give it a try. Here's some I've looked at:

Looks handy. I recently downsized as well, adding a Rebel T2i in addition to my 50D because it is smaller and fits in my bicycle trunk bag better. I miss some of the extra switches for direct access and the larger grip, but in other ways it out specs the 50D. I did also consider some compact models, but decided I just needed a *little* smaller and wanted full compatibility with my existing lenses.
