Oh, just a bit of bloodletting... That's supposed to be healthy right? ;)
Reached across a piece of plate glass, and misjudged the edge. Shaved off a reasonable amount of flesh - well, really I just made a flap out of it, which I then cut off.... Not at all deep, just wide. LOL.. No biggie, but now I've got a fancy bit of white stuff wrapped around my arm.
Anyone up for a gauze challenge? ;)

Did you require stitches?
eta: that's just not fair Cory. You're not allowed to update an earlier post with the actual details, it makes further questions about your state of health redundant.

Can't see how they'd stitch this..
Beside, I only go to the doctor when I need to. (and I do mean NEED... I'm not a fan of the entire industry) |

Yeah.. I really should have done that... It was impressively drippy, since I was in the middle of loading a 150lb lens when it happened, and had to finish up before attending to the darn thing. |

Gawd... Now, if you'dve dropped the lens on your FOOT, concussed yourself hitting the deck, and come to a couple minutes later in a pool of your own blood, THAT might've been a good photo op :-) |

AND might have put you on par with Juliet. As it is, you're lagging. |

I'm pretty sure the lens could actually remove half a foot or so if dropped correctly from a couple of feet...
Boy I'd hate to explain that one to Schlake though, he'd be sad and as close to angry as I can imagine him ever being. |

I thought I was the only one bleeding for DPC :) My laceration wasn't big though. I haven't broken anything and I haven't burnt anything for DPC yet (I mean my extremities and other body parts, not some other objects). My birthday is coming up though, 11 candles, hair catches on fire... Okay, a little bit more than 11 candles :(
Anyway, hope it heals quick Cory. Doesn't sound fun. I know how to put stitches, I've practiced on pig legs at school (in case anyone ever needs some professional suturing :) |

OMG between Cory and Juliet the rest of us don't stand a chance!
And just to expound on the orginal title of the thread...glass is not only sharp, but if it breaks it will get into the tiniest crevices. Dropped and broke a glass in the kitchen three months ago and still finding tiny shards between the strips of hardwood flooring.
So for those doing this shoot - seeing that advice is all I can deliver, looking very unlikely I will be entering - for gawd's sake assume something will break. So closed set. No kids. No pets. No bare feet. No socks (which can pick up and carry around slivers of any broken glass). Wear boots or shoes. Put something down on the floor like a big sheet of plastic or a tarp to catch the worst of the little specks of glass; the big pieces are easier to see and pick up and USE GLOVES.
As for how Cory got his owie...*sigh* ...that takes talent. Don't try to replicate it!!!

Since TPL started I always get something stuck in my feet when I walk barefoot in my apartment. Especially that my roommate had some projects to do as well, so it was double hell. TPL, never again... :)
