[tongue in cheek]
Voting has been pretty harsh of late. I think I finally figured it out.
Step 1: Look up your average vote received on current challenge.
Step 2: This is the maximum vote you'll give for a photo that would otherwise score a 10.
Step 3: One hour before rollover, review your votes given and adjust if your average vote received has declined.
Special Rule
Step 4: If you're participating in TPL2 - subtract one from your vote.
[/tongue in cheek]

Now wait, sir! I gave an image of yours a ten, once. |

My deepest thanks and my congratulations on your discernment, oh august one! You are obviously the exception that proves my hypothesis! Please feel free to repeat your act of kindness. |

You may be joking.
I think you are absolutely right. Especially the Special Rule part. Since TPL began, there have been some really wild score swings.

And don't forget......if one cannot figure either why an image is rendered well, or if one cannot determine how it was post-processed, it *must* be an illegal edit and reported as such immediately.
(Wanders off grumbling about idiots who call for validation on obviously poor scoring images.....)

You wouldn't mean an image like this one right?
However, I still consider it an honour to have been asked for validation. :O)

Oh dear. I have been doing it wrong. (My average vote usually runs around 5.8 while my photos average much lower. I did not realize I was supposed to be all angry and vindictive because I am not capturing amazing images.).

Hi Jeb. You just called me an idiot. Why?
I'm only following the rules - or perhaps you think it would be better if the person didn't follow the rules and simply voted '1' on anything that looked suspicious? Or perhaps you think only the winners should be subject to the rules..
Dunno, no hard feelings, but I do think calling me an idiot for following the rules is a bit harsh. |
