| I have found the Nikon D70 on www.unbeatable.co.uk for the cheapest price yet at £886 inc VAT + PP with the 18-70mm kit lens. Has anyone shopped from them before? Two weeks waittig list so they say and they told me they get their gear from Nikon. Some friend told me to be carefull cause some shops get their stuff not from Nikon UK. I phoned them to ask if the price is genuine and they said yes and it does stay the same meaning when you pay that's what you pay. Should I be worried when everyone else in UK sells them for £999? |

I've bought a DVD player from them, ordered in the morning, delivered the next day. Excellent service all the way through...
When I bought my 300D I used Price Runner to find the cheapest. Everyone else was charging £999, I got it for £825...
What you could do is print out the page and take it in to Jessops. They will do a pricematch for you, that's how I got the 300D. |

You can pick up the D70 in Dixons or Jessops for £850, as an example Jessops sell several 'kits' the DX kit is £999 and the 'G' kit is £850, the difference in price may well be the lens you are getting.
I was looking at the D70 but picked up the 300D for £720 on a Canon promotional day :)

When you say a G lens do you mean there's an 18-70mm G lens as well as the D 18-70mm or do you mena the 28-70mm is the D one?
Please have a look at their site to let me know if this is the D lens, surely it's the D!
On their page //www.unbeatable.co.uk/CatalogueItem_18193.html it does state Nikon D70+18-70 AF-S DX, surely that's the right lens!
I sorted some 9 months free interest finace so the order is in place. Jessops have 600 cameras on back order so... it could take a while. Unbeatable told me (though they could be lying) that they have 8 cameras on back order and they waitting 25 cameras in 2 weeks. What's better with Jessops? You mean that if it goes wrong you can take it back to the shop? |
