maybe one of you could send a postcard to toddhead's daughter. She's still missing Pennsylvania, inexplicably.

Can we plan on meeting at the Visitor Center (the usual spot) at 10:30? It's going to be a stretch for me (along with enjoyatoy to get there any earlier. I have a wedding to shoot on Saturday, which means I'll be getting very little sleep and making the 300-mile journey first thing in the morning...

I *might* be coming, but won't know for sure until late in the week.

In that case some of us have to meet at the bottom to keep few cars there.

I can be one to meet at the base say around 9:30AM.

9:30 seems a bit early if we meeting at 10:30 but I'll swing by around 10 and I can leave my car at the bottom. Also, I don't think I'll make to Friday's on Saturday so I'll just see you guys on Sunday.

Anyone want to meet and shoot on Saturday afternoon through eve as well? I figure if I'm driving that far, might as well get more shooting in!

Yeeee...let me do google and prepare a list of all exotic stuff so that you can bring those for all of us ;)

Updated below list and as of today:

alanfreed -- jalapeno dip, brownies
enjoyatoy
OdysseyF22 -- hotdogs and buns, ketchup/mustard, and some kind of dessert treat
Neil -- chorizo vegetarian sausage, large bags of sun chips or taco chips, some baby carrots and hummus
TonyT -- Drinks - water, soda, and something with electrolytes (their what a body craves).
sceneit
Nikolai1024
scalvert
pgirish007 -- Salsa, paper plates, cups and napkins AND some food because of I am vegetarian and had less option in previous GTG ;)

Those doughnuts are out of the question. The place is now out of business.

I'll look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday! The forecast is calling for near 80 and a chance of an isolated storm, so it would be wise to pack some sort of rain protection just in case.

I should be able to get there by 10:30, or very slightly earlier. Many thanks to anyone who can organize leaving a couple cars down at the bottom prior to getting together at the Visitor's Center!

It sounds like we won't be quite at the peak of the foliage, but certainly close enough that it should be colorful and awesome for pictures! I would think that since we had a fairly wet summer that maybe the water flow will still be pretty respectable, too. All in all, I think this is going to be a photographic treat for all of us!

I should be there early afternoon tomorrow--I may go in the AM and take a diversion over to Ithaca to Watkins Glenn State Park, then 2 hrs down to Ricketts.

But: I was wondering if anyone had more suggestions for where to shoot in Rickett's besides our hike on Sunday (and besides the little falls we shoot before brakfast)? Maybe I'll head straight down and shoot there if I see something good to shoot.

Also, looks like I'm passing lots of parks and stuff going down on 88 through Binghampton, onto either 81 or 17 and 220. Anything worth stopping for, or diverting to?

Shannon and I will be off shooting sometime around RG at 4pm for sure there.

I can leave a car down and someone drive us to the upper level! We are three folks!

I had a chat with Geri and she will be their too and most likely they are reaching there tomorrow it-self.

Good to hear... I was just wondering about them! Hopefully she managed to talk at least one of their aesthetically-pleasing daughters to come along as models, too ;)

How about someone sends cell phone numbers in an email? I'll have a different phone with me than before (swapped for my wife's phone which is Verizon and better service in the Poconos).

I'll start one in a minute...I'm leaving soon!
