		| | It says the only difference is 1/2 a frame per second. I'm surprised they would release that as a new model. |

They only fixed the problem with the mirror mechanism... their way to admit there was a problem...

I am! I bet they add the D7100 broader focus points and remove the LP filter. Then I'll be very upset (because I'll want one!).

It seems like it will be exactly the same except for the the different shutter mechanism (it will bring the burst speed to 6 fps).

so instead of fixing the defect in your camera they'll make you buy a new one? amazing.

		| | I know it's in Italian, but I started a petition to ask Nikon to give some sort of discount for the owner of D600.
 D600 - D610

Just to let you know :)

How about instead of a discount, they recall the D600, and either retrofit it with the new mechanism, or just swap us for a new 610! I propose that!

It would be the right thing to do, but I'm sure Nikon won't do anything so 'nice', so I tried with something easier :)

		| | And this, of course, is a big part of why we buy CANON... (runs for shelter) |

		| | Ok so here's a serious question: I've been limping along with a D70 for many years now, and I think it is on its last legs and likely not worth even sending in for an estimate on the repairs. If I were in the market for a new nikon (and I have no FF lenses yet..) what is a reasonable replacement for my D70? Money, is of course, an object. |

		| | Hopefully the D610 won't have frequently occurring oil spots on the sensor which has caused angst amongst many users of this higher end model. |

		| | For people who don't have a D600 now is the best moment to buy it. First models had that oil spots problems, but not later models, so you can get it for a very good price... unlike me ;( |

If later production models don't have it, why would they go to all the trouble of producing a redesign?

Maybe they have an agreement with Canon to lose a lot of clients... LOL!

I have a nice D7000 for sale! (Very nice camera...jury's still out on the D7100 which I bought too...doesn't seem to have the same dynamic range of RAW files with the newer sensor.)
