I bought a piece of software from "XYZ Software" (fictitious name), with a coupon code for a discount. Despite that my worksheet showed the discount, the entire purchase price showed up after I hit "PAY".
So I sent them this:

Today I noticed on my bank statement a $20.00 refund.... While I was ruminating on that, I got the following mail:

Hi Robert,
An error was made while refunding your order and instead of refunding you the $5 in honor of the discount code, your entire purchase amount was refunded. The mistake was ours and we hope you continue to enjoy your XYZ Software.

You should seriously consider removing your registration code. I think you're probably making pirates very happy. :D

That's not my registration code, I changed it around. Hence the XX front and back. None of the numbers or names are correct, actually. Except mine. |
