How do you install a photoshop plugin?

Generally choose a custom (rather than standard) install and choose the Photoshop pluggin directory as the target directory.

Not sure what an ATN file is. Can you just drop it into the pluggin directory of PS?

That would be my first guess.

Yes, you can just drop it in the current plugin directory and it will be available the next time you start PS.

OOPS... missed that this was a .atn; it belongs in the \presets\photoshop actions directory under your main photoshop directory. You can also just drag and drop the file onto the actions pallette; much simpler!

that's a photoshop action. in the photoshop directory, you'll find a folder called 'presets', and inside that, another called 'photoshop actions'. just drop the .atn in there, and you're golden. the path looks like:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Presets\Photoshop Actions

good luck,

Pedro

ps edit: an action is different than a plug-in. Plug-ins go in the Plug-in directory, as Kirbic said

That's an action, not a plugin. I'm not sure how to install them, but you should be able to find instructions for loading actions in the Photoshot help file.
