I agree somewhat as a comment may not be to my liking or spoken in ignorance or sometimes malice. Yet, over time I have learned to read it, take the learning out of it and forget the rest.
However, I may say with my mouth and try to live it, ie, "I do not care about scores", but that is a lie. For example, to get a 4 or less for what you just know is good photography, now that hurts me. Unfortunately, the scores are the value others put on your effort..... most often not saying why.
Please do not tell me it is a great image if you and I know it is good. Focus on the ones you score below 6, and tell me why it is in your opinion UNDER AVERAGE/BELOW PAR/SUBSTANDARD/Not even worthy of an average score. That is what I want to know. Then I can learn and grow.
Final comment; how many of these are NOT self portraits? |
