Actually, I gave you a 9.

It was the royal you, meaning everyone on DPC. I kind of like you in specific because your comments amuse me.

If this is how you feel, why are you here? Is it good sport to tell us how worthless we are?

I taunt you by submitting actual pictures ...

... every couple of years?

So far, that is the trend. Cory talked me into it, and I lost interest pretty quick. But now I'm back, and far more motivated than I was the last time.

Actually, I think the answer is that I take it far less seriously this time.

Well, that's good, and I very much approve of you taking it less seriously and having fun - you always have a fresh perspective on the topics which has the potential to be really amusing.

What I do not approve of is attacking the entire community like that, to first say that DPC is devoid of good pictures, and then to follow up by calling everyone ignorant just isn't cool... I know that most of the internet forums operate such that this would usually seem like a normal, and insignificant thing to say. But really, this is DPC and we do try to maintain a higher standard here man. Get on board with being nice to people here, DPC won't benefit from needless conflict, and while you know I do like you and enjoy your company - I do need you to please avoid acting like a jerk towards my other friends, ok?

As to this being Overprocessed Photoshop Challenge Dot Com, I think that while sometimes there is a tendency among voters to reward silly processing, I think that often a good picture is the only way to start, and sometimes a good picture can stand all on it's own here, given that it really is a good picture. And if nothing else, there's always Posthumous awards for the 'real' photos. :D

Anyway, I'd like it very much if we could all just please write this off as schlake being far too used to the forums on Model Mayhem and elsewhere.

When is model mayhem? Why wasn't I invited to the revelry?

Every weekend with Schlake - there's usually a model, and almost certainly some form of mayhem.

Model Mayhem is a website. It's like 4chan, but for photographers.

I seldom invite Cory along, actually. Though I think despite that I'm responsible for about 99% of the naked women he sees on a yearly basis.

Both quite true.

ROFL.

Langdon surely has a sense of humor that I simply must admire.

I imagine some people will be disappointed if I don't enter this one, eh?

Well, it IS rather a put-up-or-shut-up moment, don't you think? Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing how you respond to the challenge. All issues of personality aside, you clearly bring some skills to the party :-)

A definite challenge!

Many of us fall back on editing our photos after the fact.

Now, we have to rely almost solely on what we know (or hope to know, as in my case).

As long as this damned rain clears out of here, I will be entering.

May be a new PW for me... but, we'll see how far I've come. :)

Can't wait to see the entries. Haven't had a Minimal Challenge for as long as I can remember!!!

Just a friendly reminder: Shoot in JPEG, and check your camera settings (sharpness, contrast, saturation)

And clean sensor and lens

Better blow the dust of the ol' monochrome then

Ahhhh... Would have TOTALLY screwed up already! I always shoot in RAW.
Thanks for the reminder Cory!

My main concern is if I'm able to find a new naked woman in time for this challenge, or if I'll have to re-use an old one.

Wrinkles have their charm as well you know ;)

(I know that you didn't mean "an old one" in this context)
