Consider embracing reality. You get comments folks don't like borders. Your options: 1) Ignore the feedback and please your own aesthetic at the expense of lowered scores; or 2) Modify your aesthetic and avoid scoring down by the folks that don't like borders. Complaining here won't change opinions about borders. If you care about scores - please your audience. if not, please yourself. But don't fight the problem.
